From ski racer to triathlon professional
Soon I can start naming my workouts as "Day in the office", who would have thought that...
...with my retirement as a ski racer (2018) I had actually finished with top-class sport. Now the door to professional sport is opening again.
About me
I am 25 years old and my great passion is triathlon, but it wasn't always like that. Up until four years ago I still had the dream of taking part in the Ski World Cup. After 15 years of ski racing, five of them at international FIS level, it was time in 2018 to start a new chapter in my life with my studies in Health Sciences and Technologies at the ETH Zurich.
Even as a ski racer, swimming, cycling and running were part of my fitness training during the summer months. When I stopped skiing after my retirement at the end of summer 2018, endurance training continued into the winter months and has since become my passion.
Triathlon is now more than just a hobby for me. With the prospect of starting as a professional next year, I work every day to continuously improve in all three disciplines. I do two to three training sessions a day, which ads up to 20 - 25 hours of training per week.
